Cystic Fibrosis patient lives 6 days with no lungs! Inspiring story of courage.

Melissa Benoit, who suffers from cystic fibrosis, was so sick doctors needed to remove both lungs. Through an artificial lung apparatus called an Extra-Corporeal Lung Support, Melissa hung on for 6 days with no lungs at all. After her lungs came out, the antibiotics finally kicked in and she was strong enough to receive a double lung transplant 6 days later. Amazing story!
