Why Staying In-State for Medical School is Worth Every Penny Saved!

The following article published by STAT highlights why attending medical school in-state pays off. The state of Texas has worked hard over the past decade creating new medical schools and also, most importantly, increasing the number of residency spots so they can offer places for graduates to train. As a result, the state of Texas boats that 65% of doctors stay to work in state after residency.

It's a win-win. Texas gets to keep talented physicians in state and students benefit by reduced loans and decreasing their debt by almost half!
